# Privacy policy

Short version: no accounts, no advertising cookies, analytics only if you accept, and the tools do not store what you submit.

## Summary

- No user accounts, no newsletters, no forms that store personal data. 
- No advertising cookies and no sale of data. 
- Audience analytics run only after you click Accept in the consent banner.   
## Analytics

The site uses Google Analytics 4 in consent mode. Until you accept the banner, no analytics
cookie is set and no identifier is stored. If you accept, standard GA4 measurement applies
(pages viewed, approximate location at city level, device type). You can clear your choice at
any time by deleting this site's data in your browser; the banner will be shown again.

## The tools

The [validator](/validator/) parses pasted content entirely in your browser; pasted text
is never transmitted. When you use a URL mode (validator fetch or
[generator](/generator/)), the URL you submit is processed by a Cloudflare edge
function to fetch the target file or sitemap; we do not store submitted URLs in a database.

## Public verification

The public verifier fetches the URL you submit so it can return an HTTP status, content type,
timestamp and syntax result. The response is generated for the current request. The site does
not create user accounts or a private history of submitted verification URLs.

## Hosting

The site is served by Cloudflare Pages. Like any host, Cloudflare processes technical request
data (IP address, user agent) to deliver and secure the service; see
[Cloudflare's privacy policy](https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/).

## Retention

Operational logs may exist at the hosting or analytics provider level according to their own
retention rules. llmtxt.info does not operate a separate CRM, account database or newsletter
database for visitors to this site.
